Microtech Ultratech Gen III ZBP OTF Knife – Black Bayonet, OD Green
Microtech introduced the Ultratech in 1999, and it has been the company’s flagship out-the-front knife ever since. The Gen III ZBP adds Zero Blade Play for a tighter, more solid deployed blade. It also gets Microtech’s Crud Kutter, which helps clear grit from the mechanism, and the Dual-Fuel Drive Train for a smooth, reliable double action. Slide the thumb actuator forward to fire the blade, and pull it back to retract.
This version carries a 3.55″ bayonet blade in M390MK steel with a black finish and a plain edge. The bottom edge runs the full length, and the top edge is sharpened partway back, so you get a dagger’s look with a place to rest your thumb. The OD green 6061-T6 aluminum handle is held together with Torx screws and ends in an upgraded glass breaker. It’s made in the USA and backed by Microtech’s limited lifetime warranty.
