The Taurus TX22 Gen 2 T.O.R.O. is a full-size .22 LR pistol that’s easy to shoot all day, with a Viridian RFX-11 green dot included in the package. T.O.R.O. stands for Taurus Optic Ready Option. The hard-anodized aluminum slide is cut for a micro red dot, and lightening cuts keep the slide light so it cycles smoothly with rimfire ammo.
A 4.6″ threaded barrel (1/2×28) lets you run a suppressor or muzzle device. Taurus’s Performance Trigger System gives a smooth, controllable press. Up front, a white dot front and a drift-adjustable rear sight back up the optic. The Viridian RFX-11 includes shake-awake activation with auto off, plus two night vision modes.
Two magazines come in the box, one 22-round and one 16-round, so you spend more time shooting and less time loading. A Picatinny rail takes a light or laser, and you get a manual safety plus striker block and trigger safety. It’s a great trainer, plinker or first pistol for a new shooter.
