Nighthawk Custom builds some of the best known 10mm 1911s around, and this is the mag it makes for them. It holds 8 rounds of 10mm in a stainless Government-length tube with a welded steel base that sits flush with the bottom of the grip.

What sets it apart

• Stainless tube and follower: heat-treated, tempered stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance.
• Hardened steel follower: gives a positive slide lock after the last round and is built to last.
• Steady feeding: parallel feed lips and an integrated feed ramp set each round up at a consistent angle with any brand of ammo, and the tube is tumbled and polished to cut friction.
• Flush welded base: sits flush with the bottom of the pistol, and you can still add a base pad later if you want one.
• Round check: load indicator holes on the sides show how full it is without weakening the tube.
• Easy to service: it comes apart for cleaning, and a solid stop prevents over-insertion.

Break-in tip from Nighthawk: a new mag can feel stiff at first. Leave it fully loaded for a few days, load and unload it 15 to 20 times, then seat and drop it empty from your 1911 a few times with the slide locked back. The spring smooths out quickly.
