Smith & Wesson M&P FPC 22 .22 LR Folding Carbine
The M&P FPC 22 takes the folding carbine idea and puts it in .22 LR. It’s light, quiet to shoot, cheap to feed and small enough to fit in a backpack or truck bag when it’s folded. Open it up and you have a full-size carbine with a 16.25″ barrel and a 14.5″ length of pull.
Folds from the side, keeps your zero
The barrel and handguard pivot to the side and lock alongside the stock, taking the carbine from 30 3/8″ long to 16 3/8″. Because it folds sideways instead of over the top, an optic on the top rail doesn’t have to come off and stays zeroed. When it’s folded, the charging handle doubles as the retainer that holds it closed.
Ready for a suppressor and an optic
- Threaded barrel: 16.25″ carbon steel barrel with 1:15″ twist, threaded 1/2-28 and shipped with a thread protector.
- Optics ready: no iron sights; there’s a Picatinny-style rail on top for a red dot or scope.
- M-LOK handguard: slim handguard with M-LOK slots for a light, laser or grip.
Feels like an M&P pistol
The grip is the M&P Compact grip with interchangeable backstraps, and the trigger is the same flat-face design found on M&P pistols, with a crisp break. The magazine catch is reversible and the safety is a cross-bolt.
Spare ammo in the stock
Two slots in the stock hold extra magazines, and a quick-release tab system lets you pull one out fast. It takes S&W M&P 22X magazines, and three 20-round magazines come with the carbine.
Easy to clean
It field strips using only the grip tool, so you don’t need any other tools. The blowback action uses a stainless steel bolt with a polymer buffer, and the receiver is polymer.

This firearm ships only to a licensed FFL dealer. Firearm shipping to the buyer’s FFL is a flat rate added at checkout. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii costs extra and is quoted after the order. We don’t sell or ship to California. You must be 18 or older to buy a rifle. Check your state and local laws before you order, and make sure your FFL will accept the transfer.
