The Daniel Defense DELTA 5 .308 (model 42-159-07265) brings the modularity of the AR platform to a one-of-a-kind bolt action rifle. With a user-interchangeable cold hammer forged barrel and a user-configurable stock, it delivers out-of-the-box customization that would normally take professional gunsmithing, so it is ready for long range work the day you take it home.
The 20″ heavy Palma profile barrel has a 1:10 twist and a 5/8 x 24 threaded muzzle, and it can be swapped by the user. It mounts to a mechanically bedded stainless steel action with an integral recoil lug, running a three-lug bolt with a 60 degree throw, a floating bolt head, and a removable bolt knob. An adjustable single stage Timney Elite Hunter trigger (1.5 to 4 lbs) with a two position safety handles the break, and a 20 MOA / 5.8 MRAD Picatinny scope base secured by four #10-32 bolts tops the receiver.
The ergonomic stock is built from carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer, with a cheek riser adjustable for height, yaw, and drift and a buttstock that adjusts for length of pull and butt pad height. Bottom metal is integrated with pillars and a barrier stop. There are 14 M-LOK points along the forend, one on the bottom of the buttstock, and three M-LOK QD sling points. It feeds from a five-round Magpul PMAG 5 7.62 AC AICS short action magazine and ships in a Daniel Defense full-latch impact plastic case.
